How we publish

Our editorial standards.

How Mac Does REI researches an article

We start with the question a Texas or Oklahoma homeowner is actually trying to answer. For laws, regulations, permits, lending programs, and public processes, we check the responsible government agency or the current primary document before relying on a summary.

What publication and review dates mean

The published date records when an article first became public. An updated date appears only after a meaningful change. A named reviewer appears only when that person has reviewed that specific version.

How we handle state differences

Texas and Oklahoma do not share one real estate rulebook. We label state specific guidance, keep brokerage relationships separate, and avoid applying a process from one state to the other.

Corrections and professional guidance

We correct material errors when we find them. Educational articles are not a substitute for advice from a professional who can review the property and current facts.

What does not become public knowledge

Drafts, private research notes, client records, uploaded documents, and chat histories are excluded from the public assistant knowledge pack. A published page is not automatically approved for assistant retrieval when the subject needs a separate current review.
