Garland offers some of the best value in the metro, and plenty of situations where the right move is a straightforward as-is sale. Since 2019, the McDonald Group has helped buyers and sellers across DFW and North Texas, brokered by Fathom Realty, with our office in McKinney.
Already have your buyer, or just need a licensed pro to carry the deal from contract to close? This is the lean option.
Full MLS exposure managed remotely. You take the photos and handle access, we run everything else.
The works. We make the home look its best, market it everywhere, and stay hands-on through closing.
Every tier, including Transaction Only, comes with a licensed Texas agent's full statutory duties: we present every offer, answer your questions, and keep you informed of material information throughout the sale.
Commissions and fees are not set by law and are fully negotiable. The fees above are The McDonald Group's standard listing tiers; final terms are set in your written listing agreement. Buyer's agent compensation, if any, is separate and discussed before you list.
First home, upgrade, or investment, we guide Garland buyers through search, offer strategy, financing connections, and closing. Browse North Texas listings or reach out below and tell us what you're looking for.

Corridors, build era, and taxing boundaries shape what you can buy in Garland and what it costs to hold.
Garland occupies the northeast corner of the county, with Lake Ray Hubbard forming much of its eastern edge and the President George Bush Turnpike crossing the northern half. The original town grid still radiates from a historic downtown square, and DART's Downtown Garland station sits two blocks north of it on the Blue Line. Housing largely dates to the 1950s through the 1970s, with later subdivisions filling in around Firewheel Town Center to the north. Garland ISD covers most of the city.
Garland sits in Dallas County, where the combined property tax rate runs about 2.15 percent of market value for the 2025 tax year, ranging 1.95 to 2.60 percent depending on the school district. On a $350,000 home with a homestead exemption that works out to roughly $505 a month. The Texas homestead exemption reduces only the school district portion, not the county or city portion, which is the detail most online estimates miss.
Taxes and insurance are a large share of a monthly payment in Texas, so a national mortgage estimate will understate what a Garland home actually costs to hold.
