Licensed local Realtors serving Fate, honest pricing guidance, professional marketing, and listing options that fit how much help you actually want.
Fate is among the fastest-growing small cities in the metro, new subdivisions where sellers benefit from a sharp local read. Since 2019, the McDonald Group has helped buyers and sellers across DFW and North Texas, brokered by Fathom Realty, with our office in McKinney.
Already have your buyer, or just need a licensed pro to carry the deal from contract to close? This is the lean option.
Full MLS exposure managed remotely. You take the photos and handle access, we run everything else.
The works. We make the home look its best, market it everywhere, and stay hands-on through closing.
Every tier, including Transaction Only, comes with a licensed Texas agent's full statutory duties: we present every offer, answer your questions, and keep you informed of material information throughout the sale.
Commissions and fees are not set by law and are fully negotiable. The fees above are The McDonald Group's standard listing tiers; final terms are set in your written listing agreement. Buyer's agent compensation, if any, is separate and discussed before you list.
First home, upgrade, or investment, we guide Fate buyers through search, offer strategy, financing connections, and closing. Browse North Texas listings or reach out below and tell us what you're looking for.

Corridors, build era, and taxing boundaries shape what you can buy in Fate and what it costs to hold.
Fate lies on the I-30 corridor just east of Rockwall, reached from the interstate at FM 551, with SH 66 running about five miles west into Rockwall. The Katy railroad built through in 1886, but the town shrank for decades and almost the entire current housing stock is master-planned construction from the 2000s forward. Special district financing is unusually formalized here: the city lists five municipal utility districts and five public improvement districts, among them two Williamsburg PIDs. Rockwall ISD and Royse City ISD split the city.
Fate sits in Rockwall County, where the combined property tax rate runs about 1.85 percent of market value for the 2025 tax year, ranging 1.70 to 2.05 percent depending on the school district. On a $350,000 home with a homestead exemption that works out to roughly $408 a month. The Texas homestead exemption reduces only the school district portion, not the county or city portion, which is the detail most online estimates miss.
Taxes and insurance are a large share of a monthly payment in Texas, so a national mortgage estimate will understate what a Fate home actually costs to hold.
