Licensed local Realtors serving Midlothian, honest pricing guidance, professional marketing, and listing options that fit how much help you actually want.
Midlothian is growing fast on the southern metro edge, new builds and acreage alike, exactly the mix we handle well. Since 2019, the McDonald Group has helped buyers and sellers across DFW and North Texas, brokered by Fathom Realty, with our office in McKinney.
Already have your buyer, or just need a licensed pro to carry the deal from contract to close? This is the lean option.
Full MLS exposure managed remotely. You take the photos and handle access, we run everything else.
The works. We make the home look its best, market it everywhere, and stay hands-on through closing.
Every tier, including Transaction Only, comes with a licensed Texas agent's full statutory duties: we present every offer, answer your questions, and keep you informed of material information throughout the sale.
Commissions and fees are not set by law and are fully negotiable. The fees above are The McDonald Group's standard listing tiers; final terms are set in your written listing agreement. Buyer's agent compensation, if any, is separate and discussed before you list.
First home, upgrade, or investment, we guide Midlothian buyers through search, offer strategy, financing connections, and closing. Browse North Texas listings or reach out below and tell us what you're looking for.

Corridors, build era, and taxing boundaries shape what you can buy in Midlothian and what it costs to hold.
Midlothian sits on US 67 and US 287 in northwestern Ellis County, between Dallas and Fort Worth. Limestone reserves along the escarpment under the city support three cement plants, a steel mill operates in the same industrial belt, and the RailPort industrial park runs along US 67. Newer master-planned subdivisions have been layered onto a much older town center, so district assessments show up on one side of town and mid-century or older stock on the other. Midlothian ISD covers most of the city.
Midlothian sits in Ellis County, where the combined property tax rate runs about 1.84 percent of market value for the 2025 tax year, ranging 1.70 to 2.15 percent depending on the school district. On a $350,000 home with a homestead exemption that works out to roughly $408 a month. The Texas homestead exemption reduces only the school district portion, not the county or city portion, which is the detail most online estimates miss.
Taxes and insurance are a large share of a monthly payment in Texas, so a national mortgage estimate will understate what a Midlothian home actually costs to hold.
