Quinlan sits near Lake Tawakoni, where lake-area lots and rural homes often suit an owner who wants a fast, certain cash sale. Since 2019, the McDonald Group has helped buyers and sellers across DFW and North Texas, brokered by Fathom Realty, with our office in McKinney.
Already have your buyer, or just need a licensed pro to carry the deal from contract to close? This is the lean option.
Full MLS exposure managed remotely. You take the photos and handle access, we run everything else.
The works. We make the home look its best, market it everywhere, and stay hands-on through closing.
Every tier, including Transaction Only, comes with a licensed Texas agent's full statutory duties: we present every offer, answer your questions, and keep you informed of material information throughout the sale.
Commissions and fees are not set by law and are fully negotiable. The fees above are The McDonald Group's standard listing tiers; final terms are set in your written listing agreement. Buyer's agent compensation, if any, is separate and discussed before you list.
First home, upgrade, or investment, we guide Quinlan buyers through search, offer strategy, financing connections, and closing. Browse North Texas listings or reach out below and tell us what you're looking for.

Corridors, build era, and taxing boundaries shape what you can buy in Quinlan and what it costs to hold.
Quinlan sits on SH 34 between Greenville and Terrell, with SH 276 running west toward Rockwall and Lake Tawakoni a few miles east. It began as a depot town in 1892 on the Texas Midland Railroad, a line reorganized by the financier Hetty Green. The city covers just over a square mile, and the surrounding market runs to rural acreage and lake property rather than platted subdivisions, including leasehold lots on Sabine River Authority shoreline. Growth followed the reservoir rather than the Dallas commute, and Quinlan ISD and Boles ISD both serve the area.
Quinlan sits in Hunt County, where the combined property tax rate runs about 1.53 percent of market value for the 2025 tax year, ranging 1.33 to 1.82 percent depending on the school district. On a $350,000 home with a homestead exemption that works out to roughly $342 a month. The Texas homestead exemption reduces only the school district portion, not the county or city portion, which is the detail most online estimates miss.
Taxes and insurance are a large share of a monthly payment in Texas, so a national mortgage estimate will understate what a Quinlan home actually costs to hold.
