Local, not long-distance

We work Prosper from the northern growth path.

The new construction and acreage mix in Prosper means every deal is a little different, exactly the kind of property work we do best. Since 2019, the McDonald Group has helped buyers and sellers across DFW and North Texas, brokered by Fathom Realty, with our office in McKinney.

Every tier, including Transaction Only, comes with a licensed Texas agent's full statutory duties: we present every offer, answer your questions, and keep you informed of material information throughout the sale.

Commissions and fees are not set by law and are fully negotiable. The fees above are The McDonald Group's standard listing tiers; final terms are set in your written listing agreement. Buyer's agent compensation, if any, is separate and discussed before you list.

The ground here

What is Prosper, TX like?

Corridors, build era, and taxing boundaries shape what you can buy in Prosper and what it costs to hold.

Prosper is a town rather than a city, and its southern boundary runs about nine miles along US 380, with Preston Road crossing north to south. The Dallas North Tollway main lanes currently end at First Street here, with an extension toward Celina under way. Rock Hill and Richland merged in 1902 when the railroad arrived, but essentially all housing is master-planned work on former farmland from the 2000s forward, platted through more than a hundred numbered planned development districts. Prosper ISD covers most addresses, with far western subdivisions in Denton ISD.

What are property taxes in Prosper, TX?

Prosper sits in Collin County, where the combined property tax rate runs about 1.70 percent of market value for the 2025 tax year, ranging 1.55 to 2.30 percent depending on the school district. On a $350,000 home with a homestead exemption that works out to roughly $377 a month. The Texas homestead exemption reduces only the school district portion, not the county or city portion, which is the detail most online estimates miss.

Taxes and insurance are a large share of a monthly payment in Texas, so a national mortgage estimate will understate what a Prosper home actually costs to hold.
